Performance history: Commissioned by Bit20 in 2026 and premiered by them the same year at the State of the Art festival in Reykjavik.
symfoni I
Instrumentation: 2022 version for sinfonietta, 2024 version for chamber orchestra. Both versions also feature: soap-bubble machine, bingo machine, performing conductor and remote-controlled-helicopter pilot
Year of composition: 2022/2024
Performance history: Commissioned by Insimul Sinfonietta in 2021, Premiered by Insimul Sinfoinetta at Tou in Stavanger, Norway in collaboration with “ny-Musikk Stavanger” in 2023.
Performed in an updated version by the Swedish Chamber orchestra as part of the UNM festival in Örebro, Sweden august 2024.
The piece was nominated for “piece of the year” by the Norwegian composers union in 2024.
Autumn 2026 it was performed by Galdre Sinfonietta in Oslo.
